EXBOURNE Village Show, which was brought back into being three years ago during millennium year, voted in new committee members at its annual meeting recently.

Robert Woollacott has remained chairman of the committee and welcomes new treasurer Daryl Chapman, vice principal of Okehampton College and an Exbourne resident, to the group.

Terrie Wright, retiring treasurer, said she and her committee member husband Geoff, felt it was time to ?hand over the reins? after three happy years.

Terrie said: ?We?ve had some wonderful support from people over the last three years. We started from scratch ? the seven founder members all put their hand in their pockets for a few quid to get the show off the ground.

?Now, with a health bank balance of around £639, the new committee kick off with a flying start.?

Terrie and Geoff wished the new committee every success for future shows and paid tribute to all the businesses and individuals who have supported the event in the past and hoped they would remain as generous in the future.
