OKEHAMPTON started brightly and had a greater share of possession.
The midfield held firm to support the Okehampton attack with halves Alex Collins and Debbie Pritchard having strong games.
Despite all the pressure Okehampton conceded first when a Liskeard cross unluckily hit the stick of Judith Grant deflecting the ball past the Okehampton goalkeeper.
In the second half Sharon Stephens had to make some important saves to ensure the game did not go beyond the reach of the Columbines.
The visitors were passing the ball well, and a move down the right saw Jo Stephens put a dangerous cross into the circle which was deflected towards the goal. A defender?s foot stopped a certain goal and the umpire immediately signalled a penalty flick.
This was calmly taken by Nettie Collett who placed the ball into he corner of the goal to give Okehampton a deserved equaliser.
