INTERNATIONAL author Tania Cross visits Tavistock this week for a celebration of the region?s myths and legends. She will be discussing life as an author and the research for two of her locally based books, ?Morwhellam?s Child? and ?The River Girl? in Tavistock Library from 2pm to 4pm on May 3. On the same day, renowned storyteller and bard Steve Manning will be treating school children to ancient tales of knights and dragons, but organisers believe the highlight of the celebrations will be an evening of music and tales at St Eustachius Church to round off the week of celebrations. ?Reclaiming Dartmoor Myths and legends? starts at 7pm on May 7. As with all events organised by the Market Charter Group entry is free, but by ticket only. Tickets for all events are available from Tavistock Library, Tavistock Town Council Offices and the Tavistock Tourist Information Centre.
