A FABULOUS show with colour, laughter and music is coming to brighten up the winter gloom in Okehampton.
Students at Okehampton College are staging My Fair Lady at the Octagon Centre from January 29 to February 2 each evening at 7pm.
Val Berry, head of expressive arts, said: ‘It is very entertaining, and you’ll recognise many of the songs, such as Wouldn’t it Be Loverly? and We’re Getting Married in the Morning.
‘We have actually got two casts, who will be doing alternate performances. We have about 80 students taking part, including the back stage crew, those doing the lighting and those who’ve made props.
‘We chose it because it has a gritty enough drama to satisfy the drama students, has some wonderful melodies in it and the costumes look wonderful. We felt it offered something for everyone.’
