THERE?S an opportunity for musicians in the Tavistock area to improve their skills at two special events being planned next month. The skills workshops have been organised by Tavistock Music Live, which was set up to increase the amount of live music in the town and surrounding area. It has already successfully secured funds to stage a variety of musical performances and workshops ? the next two events are part of this ongoing programme and will be held at Tavistock College. On March 11 there will be a wind instruments workshop for young people under the age of 19, run by Steve Smith and David Gray, between 10am and 5pm. And on March 12, there will be a junior brass band session run by Peter Jones and Rachel Northey between 2pm and 4pm, followed by a senior session for brass players at grade three or above between 5pm and 7pm.
