YEAR 8 pupil and head girl from Mount House School Willow Wordie has won a full music scholarship to Sherborne Girls School.

She auditioned with violin, piano and voice and impressed with her ability and enthusiasm.

Willow is an active member of the school who sings with the chapel choir as head chorister, is a member of the senior choir and leader of the school orchestra as well as performing as a soloist on a regular basis.  She has just won a silver cup at the Saltash Festival for her violin playing.

Maria Collier, Mount House director of music, said: 'Willow is not only a highly accomplished musician involved in all aspects of the school's music programme but she is also very generous with her time and talent in supporting the younger pupils at the school. We are delighted to hear her scholarship news.'
