A NIGHT of wild and beautiful music has been arranged at Peter Tavy Village Hall next week.
Tziganerama (pronounced Cigar-na-rama) will take a trip through the musical styles of Eastern Europe, arranged courtesy of the Villages in Action scheme.
Music from Macedonia and Russia, Hungarian gypsy songs, Jewish Klezmer and Romanian will be played with passion and style by the trio, on fiddle, accordion and double bass.
Organisers say the band will have granny and grandad dancing on the table, mum and dad weeping into the vodka, while the children re-enact the storming of the Winter Palace in the car park!
Tziganerama's first CD has met great acclaim in the music press and their dynamic and wide-ranging live set is easily accessible to everyone, not just the specialists.
The fun begins at 7.30pm on Friday February 18 — money raised will go towards village hall funds.
Tickets are available from Jill Morris on 01822 810844, Dawn Sherrell on 810552 and Angela Collins on 810243.
