The event starts with a music therapy workshop from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. This will be run by Shirley Anthoney, who is coming specially from Bridgwater to assist in the event.
Shirley will demonstrate the benefits of music therapy. Twenty-five people will be able to experience this hands on, while anyone else is welcome to watch.
Later in the evening, from 8pm onwards, three bands will be playing. From Plymouth 'Walk the Talk' is a four-piece folk/rock band.
Two bands that have generated out of Music Box will also perform. 'Squandered Youth' is Tavistock's all female folk group and 'Well Oiled' a seven-piece folk/rock band that is great to dance to.
Music Box has been fortunate to have gained support from West Devon Borough Council in putting on this event. All proceeds will go to Music Box to assist in the continuation of the project.
If anyone who would like to donate raffle prizes to the event, their kindness would be much appreciated.
Music Box runs a 'drop in' every Tuesday from 8pm at the Mental Health Day Services, Abbey Rise, Whitchurch Road, Tavistock.
