A DAY aiming to encourage more people to think about volunteering to help at the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton takes place next week. Anyone who wants to find out more about sparing some time to help and learning more about Okehampton?s fascinating history in the process, can come along to two sessions at the museum on Tuesday, March 1, one at 2pm and one at 7pm. Each session will last for around an hour and will give a chance for people to chat with some of the museum?s present volunteers over a cup of tea and a biscuit. Museum curator Maurie Webber said she was particularly keen to hear from anyone who would like to work in the museum shop and welcome visitors.
