AN OKEHAMPTON toddler group has warned that it may have to close its doors unless more mothers and youngsters start attending. Okehampton 0-5 Toddler Group meets in Fairplace Church school room on Monday afternoon and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Mother Donna Bridger, who regularly attends the group, says many people do not even know the group exists. ?When you think how Okehampton has got bigger and the number of young families in the town, our concern is just where is everyone? ?This is one of the longest standing toddler groups in Okehampton, and yet Thursday morning is our only really busy day,? Donna said. Donna said the group was a chance for parents to socialise and children to make friends and play together. The group meets three times a week during term time and once a week during the summer holidays. The cost is £1 for mother and toddler for each two hour session. Feel free to turn up on one of the days and find out more.
