West Devon Citizens Advice Bureau has just celebrated the opening of Room 4, a new interview room for its Tavistock office. With agreement from landlords, the Kingdon House Community Association, and with financial and physical help from Tavistock Lions, the former boiler room has been transformed into a interview room.

'This means the CAB will be able to help at least 12 extra people every week.' said Tavistock Lion Jeff Lea, who cut the ribbon and was heavily involved in the project.

CAB development officer Mandy Kenyon, said: 'The help from Tavistock Lions meant that the room has been properly kitted out with a computer and a comfortable chair, designed for those clients who find sitting for long periods difficult. We hope that our clients will benefit from this new room by being able to see an adviser sooner and getting their problems solved more quickly.'

'We are very grateful to the Lions for making this project happen,' added West Devon CAB trustee Chris Bickell. West Devon CAB is open in Tavistock (01822 612359) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am-2pm and in Okehampton (01837 52574) from 10am-2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
