Okehampton Argyle Seconds 2

Motel Rangers 3

WITH several players missing a reshuffled Okehampton found Motel Rangers stubborn opposition.

Early exchanges saw Nick Pollard hit the post from a tight angle and keeper Neil Clift came out tops over three breakaway one-on-ones.

Motel took the lead against the run of play with the striker thumping home.

Okehampton continued to dominate but wasted chances with a lack of composure.

Motel increased their lead with a left-sided cross which fell sweetly to the far post where the ball was hit home on the volley.

Okehampton squandered a great opportunity when Mark Burdus saw his penalty well saved after a trip in the box.

Tim Shaw came on for Jason Sandford and virtually with his first real chance tapped home from close range after good work from Daniel Johnstone.

With Okehampton on top, Mark Burdus showed great strength and his cross was drilled home by Shaw with the visitors rocking.

Motel looked dangerous on the break and were to secure all the points when their striker outpaced Okehampton's back four neatly, rounding Neil Clift and firing home from 20 yards over Nick Pollard on the line who could just not get his head to the ball.

This Saturday away to Bickleigh (Express Cup), 2pm kick off.
