MORRISONS’ community champion Helen France has this week been conducting random acts of kindness to give back to people in the local community.

These acts have primarily involved Helen walking around Tavistock and giving out Terry’s chocolate oranges and flowers to support services, local people and local businesses; she’s even been leaving chocolate oranges with a special note on random cars! Have you found one on yours?

These good deeds are Helen’s way of thanking the people of Tavistock and the surrounding area for helping the Morrisons store raise a record £7,000 for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent in the last year, despite the pandemic.

Over the past two years, the store has also given away free lunches and coffees to refuse collectors, carried out doorstep deliveries, given away over 3,000 Easter eggs and helped the elderly and vulnerable.

Helen said: ‘We’re all about getting out in the community, helping people and showing them we can help. You’ve supported us and we want to support you — we’re just trying to get everyone together and share the love!

The store is just about to start supporting a new charity Together for Short Lives, helping children with life-limiting conditions make the most of their short lives.
