CALSTOCK Parish Archive is appealing for more volunteers, due to a recent move to the Tamar Valley Centre near Gunnislake.

The archive used to be situated in Calstock Village Hall, and was open for nine hours a week. The move to the Tamar Valley Centre has enabled an increase in opening hours to 20 per week.

There are eight regular volunteers and only five are available for daytime duties. Nikki Chaplin said at least 30 volunteers are needed to allow more projects from the archive.

Calstock Parish Archive is a charity run entirely by volunteers and welcomes donations from visitors. The archive always need new volunteers to get involved in ongoing projects.

The archive currently has exhibitions in local schools and is planning to have a promotional weekend in the autumn. More volunteers are being sought to enable events to take place on a regular basis.
