Drink tea.  Eat cake.  Save historic churches. What a splendid idea!

Those taking up the call from The Churches Conservation Trust last weekend to raise funds to help preserve the country's ecclesiastical buildings, along with other church projects, were Princetown villagers.

They held their own Midsummer Tea Party at St Michael's Church in Princetown.

There were more than 100 visitors on the day.
