WEST Devon residents are being invited to get involved in a Dartmoor-based community theatre project launched by MED Theatre this weekend. Through a series of workshops in the community and at schools, people will have the chance to try out a number of fun, creative activities, whilst learning more about the environment and the impact of climate change. MED Education Officer, Carly Mays, said: ?The world is changing, and we are still coming to terms with how much human activity has contributed to these changes. ?The Last Tree project is interested in how people feel about these issues, and how they might impact in an environment like Dartmoor.? Orlando Rutter, principal learning and outreach officer, Dartmoor National Park Authority, said: ?We are delighted to support MED Theatre?s innovative style of community theatre ? their approach really helps communities understand environmental issues.? The Last Tree pilot project launches this Saturday with a workshop led by visual artist Kat Thomas, from 2pm to 5pm at the MED studio in Moretonhampstead. Bookings and information from 01647 441356.
