PEOPLE of all ages will be flocking to Princetown next week to take part in and support the Barchester Foundation Help for Heroes walk across Dartmoor.
The walks have been planned for all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes and Barchester welcomes anyone who would like to join them on the day.
The organisers are hoping to raise more than £10,000 which will be split equally between Help for Heroes and the Barchester Foundation charity, which raises funds for their Make a Wish Come True programme for the local community and residents of their local care homes.
Anyone wishing to join the event should register at the Prince of Wales in Princetown on the day of the walk, Saturday September 4, before 10.30am. The walk will start at 10.30am and should finish for all by 4.30pm. All charitable donations will be very welcome.
Ian Ward, an ex-serviceman who once served on the Sir Galahad, will be at the finish line to award people their certificates and thank them on behalf of all those servicemen and ladies who are still serving the country.
