THE splendid meals offered by a West Devon guest house have been recognised with a national high standards award scheme.

David and Wendy Sharples have been operating Moor View House at Lydford for more than 20 years, gaining several awards in the process for their good food and excellent service.

Now, the business has been given the AA's 'dinner award' for 2012, in recognition of its 'very special, high quality' meals, with the emphasis on freshly prepared local ingredients. The award is in addition to the AA's five gold stars already earned by Moor View.

As David Sharples said: 'It's good to know that the AA recognise Wendy's good food!'
