WEST Devon photographer Ian Sanders is staging an exhibition of photographs entitled 'Moor to Shore' at the Country Lanes Garden Centre, in Exeter Road, Okehampton.
His exhibition is on in the cafeteria until September 12 from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm and Sundays, 10am to 4pm.
While Ian is possibly better known locally as chairman of the Winsford Trust in Halwill Junction, he has been a photographer for more than 35 years.
Moving to Devon nine years ago he has continued to work as a commercial photographer, now turning his lens on the county, to capture some of the moods of the countryside.
He said: 'I have found it to be every bit as challenging as anything I've ever done — the vast emptiness and black moods of Dartmoor, brilliant sunlight reflecting off moving water, cloudscapes that can lift the sky to the heavens, or pulling it down so low it makes you feel its about to fall on your head'
'It was never my intention to take a series of pretty chocolate box images. What I have tried to do is capture the mood of each location as I saw them at the time the shutter was released.'
