OKEHAMPTON Round Table recently presented a cheque for £200 to the Bridestowe, Lydford and Sourton Pre School Toddler Group, which meets in Sourton Village Hall every Tuesday from 9.30am. Trevor Turney, a supporter of the toddler group, which attracts parents and children from a broad catchment area around Okehampton, said 'The Round Table donation has enabled us to improve its toys and equipment, especially for babies.' He added that the group welcomes any new members. The Round Table mainly supports local causes or persons with a genuine need for help or assistance. Anybody who might benefit from a donation or the group's help should contact them by letter explaining their reasons. The Round Table holds five formal business meetings a year at which every application made is carefully considered. Letters should be sent to the Okehampton group care of the central office at: Marchesi House, 4 Embassy Drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 1TP.
