A FASHION show in aid of two charities held at Whitchurch Village Hall last week featured 91-year-old Mona Cook, who was fulfilling her dream of becoming a model.

The show was organised by Patty Congo and Friends of St Andrew's WI to raise money for St Luke's Hospice and Help for Heroes.

Mona, who lives at the Red House Residential Home in Yelverton, recently penned her one wish as part of the 'Wishing Well' established at the home to help the resident's one wish come true.

In June it was Mona's chance to have her dream of becoming the leading lady at a fashion show, which was answered by the Friends of St Andrew's WI.

Mona was accompanied by warrant officer in the Royal Navy Carl Challinor, the husband of the home's care manager, Nikki.

The models in the show were individual members of the WI and were wearing clothes provided by Image at Dartmoor Country Clothes.
