TWO Okehampton girls have completed a 24-hour ‘exercise-a-thon’ to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.

Lucy Creamer and Mollie Rickwood completed the challenge to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. They decided to raise money for the organisation as they have both had family members suffer with dementia.

They carried out a 24-hour exercise challenge over two consecutive days, participating in a number of activities including swimming, running, cycling, pilates and dancing.

To date they have raised over £420 — to support their efforts visit the website www.justgiving.com/ mollieandlucy24h
