NORTH Tawton will be celebrating this Saturday January 15, as the mobile library service makes its first Saturday visit to the town.

The service will now alternate between Friday stops at the square for two hours from 11am until 1pm, and Saturday visits to the square for three hours between 9.30am and 12.30pm on alternate weeks.

This Saturday, a special storytelling event by 'Clive Pig the Storyfella' at the town hall will mark the launch of the new weekend stops.

The event starts at 10.30am and residents are invited to come and listen to myths, legends, fables and folktales from around the world while enjoying some warming winter drinks provided by the North Tawton Guides.
