A FAMILY is appealing for information on the whereabouts of its treasured pet cat.

Sweep, a black manx cat — meaning he was born without a tail — went missing two weeks ago from a flat in Godolphin House on Whitchurch Road, by the roundabout at Abbey Bridge.

Owner Judith said he is around three or four years old and was mistreated when he was younger so now walks with a waddle. He is an indoor cat so is not used to the outside.

She said she doesn't know how he got out but she saw the safety latch on one of the windows had been broken so it is possible he had been taken.

She said: 'We just want him back. He is madly missed by his brother and by us. I don't care who's got him or where he is, we just want him back, no questions asked.'
