THE Tavistock Lions Club medallion originally created in 1976 has been safely returned to president Steve Grummitt after it was lost during the Tavistock Carnival Procession on July 19. Steve was eager to see its return as it was created when the Tavistock Lions Club was first founded. The medallion was found in the grounds of Abbeyfield House on Plymouth Road by one of its staff members. Steve said that he was 'very grateful' to all from Abbeyfield House who went to a lot of trouble to return the medallion. Steve added a special thanks to Tavistock Picture Framing Gallery for a donated prize for the carnival draw, which was by Rozanne Bell, worth approximately £800.
