There’s a ghoulish treat in store in Hatherleigh in Halloween when a woman with a passion for the season of ghosts invites visitors in to see her miniature haunted house.
Barbara Beama lives at 51 Market Street at the top of the town. Her door will be open to all from 3 to 8pm on Monday, October 31 for people to come in and view her creation.
The scenes in her home have something of the dolls house, albeit rather a macabre one.
While there is no entrance fee as such, donations are invited towards people in a Ukrainian village five miles from the Russian border who once offered her hospitality.
There will also be an enchangted forest, a pumpkin patch and spooky centenary.
