Tavistock 4

Camborne School of Mines 3

TAVISTOCK'S first team faced another tough home fixture hoping to net a third successive win.

Camborne School of Mines were well structured and fast and it was not long until they found themselves 1-0 up. This lead however did not last long as Heard, Cowen-Darcy, Robson and Amann linked up in the midfield producing some superb one touch passing allowing Daniels to level the score.

A well rehearsed and neatly taken short corner found P Marchant hitting Tavistock's second. Heard then proceeded to strike home number three with a solid shot from a short corner slipped across by Doney.

Just before half time Doney managed to deliver a fourth with a clinically taken reverse stick shot which rose over the body of the keeper with consummate ease.

The second half was a battle of minds as the opposition stayed focused quickly capturing Tavistock off guard and scoring twice but it was ultimately the defence that enabled a Tavistock win as they dug there heels in.

There were some outstanding saves made by Kelly. George, Carr and Wood held the defensive line well, but man of the match Edwards was outstanding.

n Tavistock travel away to Barnstaple this week.
