THERE IS a chance to take a walk through the history of mining on Kit Hill on Sunday May 2.
Organised by Cornwall Council, the guided walk will take in tales of the hill's varied mine workings from shallow pits to deep shafts.
The event runs from 10am to 2.30pm and starts from the Kit Hill incline car park on the B3257, postcode PL17 8HW (SX 375 723). Walkers will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink. The session is free, but places should be booked on 01872 323468.
