Tavistock A 6
Marjon B 4
This was an important match for Tavistock as the amount of points recently gained have been minimal!
The large Marjon squad started brightly and entrenched Tavistock in their own half for the first 10 minutes. Marjon scored an early goal with a reverse stick screamer.
Tavistock continued to weather the storm but when all appeared to be under control, gave the ball away to another Marjon stick following an unfortunate rebound from Kelly's clearance.
In the second half the home side thundered into the opposing side and scored two quick goals that knocked the visitors on their heels. Marjon regained the lead but this was short lived, as Tavistock dominated the game and began to orchestrate the proceedings as the visiting squad began to fall out amongst themselves.
A hat trick by Edwards, two goals by Heard gathered three much needed points and reminded the squad what a team performance is all about and the benefits it can create.

TAVISTOCK produced what was some of their best hockey so far this season in the first half of this tight game.
A number of chances were produced yet the away side were unable to convert any of their superior play into goals.
The home side, who were strengthened at the break with some new faces, scored early from what seemed an impossible angle to take the lead.
The rest of the second half was a more open and end to end affair with Tavistock always looking the more likely to score on the counter attack.
However, the goal never came and a frustrated Tavistock team left the pitch thinking what could have been after last week's fine win over Penzance.
This is the halfway point in the season and Tavistock will be looking to build on recent performances going into 2010.
