OKEHAMPTON recorded a fairly comfortable victory over Truro A in last week's Gerrard Hockey League game.
Conscious of their poor starts in recent weeks, Okehampton battled hard early on and Keith Dennis in goal was not really troubled.
Attacking with purpose Okehampton won a short corner and Miles Harris's shot was half saved, but Andrew Carter was on hand to tap in the rebound. Okehampton added a second a few minutes later.
In the second half the pace slowed, but Okehampton maintained pressure on the Truro defence. Simon Garland was well placed to turn and score the third before Harris scored from a short corner.
Truro scored a consolation goal in a rare break out from defence.
This week Okehampton travel to play United Services in Plymouth.
