PEOPLE are being encouraged to lace up their walking boots and join Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and the Royal Mission to Deep Sea Fisherman for a trek through the darkness.

The annual 'Midnight Madness' walk, on July 20, takes a circular route of 18km, starting at Princetown Primary School, and takes in many popular paths, including the Burrator Valley and the historic Princetown railway track.

Full support is given for the duration of the walk with manned checkpoints and sweep team following behind. Full first aid cover will be provided, as well as any assistance needed and a Traditional pasty to ease the aches and pains at the end of the walk.
