MID Devon Pony Club tetrathletes were in sparkling form at the South Devon Moorland branch?s recent competition.
Undeterred by thunder and lightening the girls? teams won both the senior and the mini classes while in the individual events, there were wins at senior, mini and mini-mini level.
The senior girls? team of Laura and Sarah Gomersall and Georgina Geikie beat the home team by more than 700 points.
Laura put in a great all round performance to win the class, just 24 points ahead of Sarah with Georgina in sixth place. Sarah had the best run in the class and rode a clear round over the demanding Holwell Lawn course, while Georgina did brilliantly to complete her first round at this level on her new horse.
In the huge novice junior class, Lydia Svensson had a great two days, finishing in third place after a promising cross country round, in which she had just one unlucky stop.
The two Mid Devon mini boys also performed well, with Antony Geering finishing sixth after three good phases on the Saturday and William Leech just missing a rosette, after a good shoot and a great cross country round.
The mini girls? team of Charlotte Rowe, Jessica Mortimore, Ellen Bright and Lucy Almond put in another brilliant effort winning their large class comfortably.
Charlotte was again in stunning form, scoring almost 4,300 points and winning the individual section.
Jessica was one of only three clear rounds in the class, and this brought her up into third place, while Ellen came fifth after a much improved shoot.
In the mini-mini class, the team of Lottie Trerise, Rosa Malseed and newcomer Tommy Lyon-Smith did well to come fifth.
Lottie and Rosa both rode clear rounds over Linda Farrant?s wonderful new course, Lottie winning her first ever full Tet and Rosa coming second.
