CHEMISTRY graduate Michelle Anstis from Yelverton has been awarded an industry prize after becoming the best final year student in Bradford University?s chemical and forensic science department.
The award was sponsored by Wyke-based chemical company A H Marks to recognise the hard work and excellence that is required in achieving the high standard attained.
Michelle received a certificate and a cheque for £100 presented by owner of the company Rhys Marks, during a ceremony at the university.
The company has had links with the university for many years and making this award forms part of its commitment to build closer links between the chemical industry and academia.
Rhys Marks said: ?This recognises Michelle?s great achievement in coming top of her year group and as a local company we feel a real benefit in encouraging our students.?
Michelle said it was a pleasure for all her hard work to be recognised in this way particularly in front of her family.
