A PUBLIC exhibition explaining the proposal to replace the Merrymeet Roundabout near Okehampton will be held on Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5. The proposal is to replace the A30 roundabout with a two-level junction, and plans and photographs will be on display, along with draft orders for the new road. Staff from the Highways Agency and its contractor and designers will be available to answer questions. The two-level junction would enable A30 through traffic to continue without delay, and traffic leaving or joining the road to do so via a slip road. Members of the public and organisations will have an opportunity to comment on the proposals and depending on the views expressed it may be necessary to hold a public enquiry before an independent inspector. The closing date for comments is March 31. The exhibition take places between 10am and 8pm on Friday and 10am and 4pm on Saturday.
