A EUROPEAN Information Seminar entitled 'Opening Doors for Small Business' will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 9am to 8pm at The Arundell Arms Hotel in Lifton.
South West Conservative MEP Giles Chichester, who organised and is sponsoring the event, will open the seminar with an address outlining EU policies currently in force to support small and medium-sized businesses.
The five principal seminar speakers are from the University of Plymouth, the Combined Universities of Cornwall, Business Information Point and the Devon Federation of Small Business. They will review the state of small businesses in the South West and detail the programmes with which they are involved to train and educate young business entrepreneurs and also provide essential ongoing business support services.
The seminar will see the launch of the revision of the popular publication — SESAME – 'Supporting English Small and Medium-sized Enterprises' – produced by Mr Chichester. This guide provides details of EU policy priorities for small business and listings of sources of funding, information and support services.
