MEMBERS from the Princetown Group of the Retirement Fellowship enjoyed their Christmas meal last week at the village's Prince of Wales public house.

Around 40 retired men and women living on Dartmoor and the surrounding area went to the pub and restaurant on Tavistock Road.

The group is affiliated to the national organisation of the Civil Service Retirement Fellowship. The main aim of the fellowship is to help retired persons, through friendship and support.

Volunteers in the group either visit or write to all Princetown group members and beneficiaries each month and encourage an active social programme.

The group meets at 12.30pm on the first Thursday of each month throughout the year, at the Prince of Wales.
