TAVISTOCK Tennis Club's American Tournament was a fun event, for players of all abilities, and thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.
The two youngest members playing, George Newman and Peter Bradley, played enthusiastically and ably — George and his partner Amanda Goodison winning 6-4 in the finals against Sue Parsons and Max Goodison. Max had a very busy afternoon organizing the competition as well as playing, so he can be excused for not winning! All the participants thank him for a lovely afternoon.
Tavistock was allotted a larger number of Wimbledon tickets this year, so nearly all of those entered in the draw, acquired tickets for this prestigious event.
The third round of tennis in the Plymouth and District league has nearly been completed, with some good wins for Tavistock.
