MEMBERS of the public are invited to attend a meeting in Okehampton at which the recent South West Water price review will be discussed. WaterVoice South West will be discussing the outcome of the price review at its next committee meeting at the White Hart Hotel in Fore Street, Okehampton, at 10.30am on Thursday, January 27. Representatives from South West Water will also attend. The price review will result in customers across the area with a typical metered bill having to pay an additional 37% in water and sewerage charges, not including inflation, from April 2005 to March 2010. For those not on meters and who cannot switch to one, the rise in a typical bill will be 44% over the five-year period, not including inflation. Other topics for discussion include the cross-Government review on water affordability.
