TEAM of two boys and five girls from Meavy Primary School took part in the Tavistock area small schools high five netball tournament at Tavistock College. Ten schools were competing and Meavy played their group matches, winning 5-1 against Horrabridge, 6-3 against Princetown and 6-0 against Lifton. These three wins gave Meavy a place in the final against Walkhampton. It was a close match with Walkhampton initially scoring two goals. Meavy came back with three goals to take the lead before Walkhampton equalised. The tournament was decided on goal difference with Meavy being declared the winners.
