A NEW print from the popular Tavistock artist David Young has just been released, with the first copies delivered to Tavistock?s Mayflower Galleries.

The picture, titled Meadow Flowers, is a signed Limited Edition of 350 copies from his original painted in oils, the result of a year?s painstaking work which features the internationally renowned Garden House near Yelverton.

The original more formal gardens that surround the house have been extended to include swathes of natural though carefully thought out meadow and grassland plants.

This riot of summer colour, using both native flowers and exotics, leads the eye through the wooded valleys and the perfectly placed church at Buckland Monachorum to the hills and moors of Cornwall beyond.

Gallery owner Tony Whitehead said: ?We are delighted to be the first gallery to receive this stunning new print.

?The image reminds us that, as a carpet of concrete insidiously covers the countryside, we have this treasure trove of natural beauty practically on our doorstep in Tavistock and it?s all too easily taken for granted.

?I have no doubt that this picture will please David?s many collectors?.

Now in production and soon to be available for sale is David?s second new print, Watering hole, Taw Marsh.

This is a reproduction of the painting David was working on during the filming by the BBC in February for their Dartmoor in Winter feature on the Spotlight programme.
