THE first half was exciting with neither team being able to score, although Tavistock had several shots at goal. Davies, Bryant and Barratt all defended excellently when the pressure was on Tavistock.
Honey, Tavistock?s keeper, also had quite a lot of the ball this week as the pitch was quite small.
The second half started well for Tavistock, Bryant having a lovely shot from just inside the Lipson half which almost caught their keeper by surprise. Centre forward Bassett again played well, delivering good passes down the wings, but took several knocks in doing so, which needed minor medical attention.
A second long range shot by Davey was put wide by their goalkeeper. Davey took the corner; McMullin, in the box jostling for space, moved quickly inside with a lovely little flick into the goal.
The last ten minutes Tavistock had most of the play, although a quick break by Lipson could have caused an upset if Barratt and Davies had not intercepted as quickly as they did.
