BANK Holiday Monday will see colourful festivities taking place in a popular East Cornwall village.

Harrowbarrow and Metherell Village Hall in Harrowbarrow will be the venue for an afternoon of fun on May 3, starting at 2pm with an exhibition of traditional maypole dancing.

This will be followed by events including music by Callington Town Band and a magic show by ?Whizz Kid? the magician.

There will be stalls, games, face painting and skittle alleys open all afternoon so visitors can browse and play.

Home-made refreshments will also be available, alongside a barbecue.
