THE mayor of West Devon was the guest of honour at Gulworthy Pre-School group?s grand autumn draw and fun afternoon held in the parish hall last Friday.
The mayor, Cllr Peter Hill, drew the prizes, which included the star one of two first class return Virgin train tickets.
A variety of stalls, games and competitions took place during the afternoon, including balloon and tree decorating activities for the children. All funds raised from the day will be put towards learning resources and educational activities for the children.
Gulworthy Pre-School runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.45am and 12.15pm. Organisers would love to welcome more children to the group ? parents can come along with their young ones to find out more ? and the first session is free. For more details, call Nicki on 07811 914 481.
