THE Westcountry will be the cycling hub of the UK. on June 26, when thousands of riders, of all ages and abilities, take part in two of the region's leading mass participation events.

While the Newton Abbot based Dartmoor Classic is already full, the FORCE Century Cycle Challenge, which starts and finishes in Topsham, still has a limited number of places available.

This year, celebrating its 12th birthday, the FORCE event annually attracts hoards of fun riders; out to raise funds for the Exeter based cancer charity. After a record 800 signed-up for last year's ride, and with just weeks to go, current numbers indicate an early sell-out of all the available places.

Based at Topsham Rugby Club's ground, where music, catering and a variety of attractions combine to provide a vibrant atmosphere — ideal for a Sunday family outing.

At 55 miles, the event's shorter route is ideal for those who like to take their time and enjoy a leisurely paced day out.
