MILTON Abbot Table Tennis Club is going from strength to strength.
Started in April 2009 the club is indebted to Lorraine Robinson and Roger Bowker of Okehampton Table Tennis Club who have given their time, skill and encouragement to Milton Abbot and other clubs in the West Devon area.
MATT meets at Milton Abbot Village Hall on Wednesdays between 7-8pm for juniors and 8-9pm for adults. The first visit is free and thereafter £1.50 for juniors and £2.50 for adults.
Bats and balls are provided and the success of the club has led to new tables and an electronic practise machine.
A club tournament was won by Tim Westcott.
Arthur Vigus, who was champion in the 1950s donated a beautifully handcarved shield from that era.
