PLANS for a telecommunications mast and base station have been turned down for the west side of Kilworthy Road in Tavistock after a site meeting was held by West Devon Borough Council?s planning committee. Councillors were told the Vodaphone mast would stand 17 metres high and 40 metres distance from the nearest dwelling. Three letters of objection raised issues of visual impact. Tavistock Town Council also opposed it, saying the mast would be highly visible to residents to the north west of the town.
