BACK to league action and Mary Tavy grabbed a feast of goals with seven players finding the Torpoint net.
Tavy settled well and opened the scoring with James Coole finding the mark. Within minutes he added his second which was followed similarly by a matching brace by improving midfielder Sam Pridham. Nick John scored an absolute cracker to take it to five for the half.
The second period was much the same and after Alan Grylls saw his effort overruled he managed to add his name to the list of scorers.
Further goals from D Reeves and S James took it to eight before Ian Hunter deservedly stepped forward to calmly notch his first of the season from the spot.
All credit to Torpoint who never looked like giving up and claimed a late consolation with a well taken goal in the dying moments.
