VISITORS flocked to an exciting new Saturday market in Hatherleigh at the weekend.

The first ever Ruby Country Market took place on Saturday April 7 at the current market site, with an all day programme of live music, 'attractions of yesteryear', an auction and a pot throwing demonstration from Svend Bayer.

Other Saturday markets for 2012 are planned for June 2, August 11 and December 1. The four markets will support the Devon Air Ambulance.
