Lee Spencer, a serving Royal Marine had a brainwave while deployed in Afghanistan recently!

He decided to go for a run on Christmas Eve —but not just any old run. Lee is going to run from Okehampton to the London Inn, Horrabridge, a total of 26.1 miles across Dartmoor.

The intrepid runner has chosen two charities to benefit from his effort — The Royal British Legion and The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

Lee started off from Okehampton Camp went over the bridge at Gullever Steps and made his way via Hangingstone Hill, West of Hartland Tor, Postbridge, Bellever Tor, Stepping Stones, Princetown, Sampford Spiney and on to the The London Inn, Horrabridge.
