A 62-YEAR-old man, believed to be from Gunnislake, died after an incident on the River Tamar at Saltash on Saturday evening. Police attended the river around Jubilee Green just before 10pm on Saturday, after reports of a woman in the water. On officers' arrival the woman was being treated by paramedics. She said she had been in a capsized boat and a man was unaccounted for. The body of a man, who has not yet been named by police, was found in the water following a search involving a police helicopter, MOD police, local officers and the Coastguard. The man was taken to Derriford Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
